Whilst in Krabi, it can be very tempting to spend your entire vacation lounging about by the pool or on the beach, but you should definitely consider getting out for a few days!

Day One

After check in to the hotel, spend a day exploring Krabi town to experience authentic Southern Thai culture and hospitality. It’s fairly easy to take a local bus to Krabi town from any town and you can spend your time exploring the winding streets and browsing through the beautiful traditional style shops and cafes.

Another option would be to hop onto a joint sightseeing trip and explore some of the beautiful sights Krabi has to offer like the famous Tiger Cave, Wat Tham Sua and Klong Thom hot springs (without having to worry about directions!). All inclusive sightseeing trips can be booked from any tour office in Krabi and are a great way to spend the day.

Have a nice gathering session at Lae Lay Grill, Aonang. It’s the time to enjoy the breeze and hunt sensational island seafood to replenish your energy used during day time.

Day Two

Make your day back in to natural and swim with fishes! It may well be worth gathering some friends and chartering a longtail boat + captain for the day. Hiring a local captain comes with many benefits, including the chance to see and experience the “lesser known” beaches and lagoons like Phi Phi Lai, Maya Bay, which was where Leonardo DiCaprio’s film ‘The Beach’ was made, and Phi Phi don which recognized with its magnificent twin crescent beaches. Simply ask your captain if he’d be willing to take you to the quieter beaches and have a fantastic time swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear, warm tropical waters of the Andaman!

At night, explore the street food in the island. There are few famous night markets where you can chill at night:

  • Soi 10 Night Market (Soi 10 Maharat Road opposite City Hotel)
  • Krabi Walking Street (next to Vogue Department Store)
  • Chao Fah Night Market (Chao Fah Pier on Kongka Road)

If you have never try Thai food before, you must go for Pad Thai, Som Tam, and mango sticky rice! Do not miss the BBQ seafood along the street, it is valid in a very good price.
